The Weight Watchers Online program is usually seen as “just another diet,” but, in fact, it is unlike any other diet of our time. Many diets come with a list of foods that you can or cannot eat, but with this program you can eat whatever foods you want because the diet is not based off of the types of foods, but the amount of calories. The company has set up the plan to help people lose weight effectively and they have found that the best way to do this is through regular meetings, a point system and support groups.

With regular meetings, members get to share their progress with the class while seeing the progress of others, and this gives encouragement to continue through the program. The point system gives the clients a rule to follow without taking their favorite foods out of the picture. The support groups allow clients to have accountability partners who will encourage other members to keep their goals, and set higher goals.
